Questions we actually get asked

These are the questions that come through Messenger most often, answered the way we would answer them there.

How many guests can stay?

Up to 25 guests, and that headcount is yours to fill however you like. On a weekend the whole property is yours. Midweek, smaller groups can take the main house on its own.

Can we add extra mattresses?

Yes. Extra guests beyond the included headcount are ₱350 per guest per night, which covers the mattress and linen. Tell us your final count when you book so the rooms are made up before you arrive.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, and there is no pet fee. We just ask that you tell us in advance so we know to expect them.

Can we bring videoke? What is the noise policy?

Videoke is welcome, and most groups bring one. There is no hard curfew. We ask that you bring it down from about 10pm, which is less a rule than what the hill expects of everyone on it.

Can we check in late?

Do you allow day use, without an overnight stay?

No. Casa Pabugnaw is booked by the night, whole property only. That is what keeps the place yours from check-in to check-out, with no other group arriving on the lot while you are in the pool.

Is the property suitable for grandparents and small children?

Yes, and more so than most places in these hills. There is no second floor. Every bedroom is on the ground floor, so nobody is negotiating stairs to get to bed, and the lot itself is flat. The main house rooms are the easiest of all, so put the grandparents there. There is also a separate kiddie pool, away from the main one.

What happens during a brownout?

There is no generator, so a brownout means the power is out until it is back. We would rather you knew that before you booked than at nine in the evening with a group to feed. If someone in your party depends on powered equipment, tell us when you enquire.

Where does the water come from?

Where are the nearest grocery and hospital?

The nearest full grocery is the Robinsons Supermarket at Twin Lakes, about 12 minutes away on the Tagaytay to Nasugbu highway. For the things you forgot rather than the week's shopping, there are Alfamart branches closer in. ‹‹NEAREST_HOSPITAL››

Can I book on Airbnb instead?

You can, and the listings are real. Booking direct costs you the same nightly rate without the booking fee on top, and puts you in touch with the owner rather than a support queue.
