Driving from Manila
The CALAX route, written out properly, including the turn that everyone misses on the first visit. It is quicker than coming down the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road.
- Take SLEX southbound and come off at the Mamplasan exit.
- At the rotunda, take the first exit. That is the one that puts you onto CALAX, and it is the turn most people get wrong on a first visit.
- Stay on CALAX and come off at the Aguinaldo exit.
Or skip all of it and pin Casa Pabugnaw in Waze, which handles the last stretch better than written directions can.
Once you are past the Alfonso arch you turn off the highway into Barangay Upli. The last stretch is a barangay road, so it is narrower than the highway and considerably darker after sunset. It is fine in any car, including a low one. Slow down and watch for the turn rather than trusting your speed.
Message us when you are about twenty minutes out and we will talk you in. Almost nobody finds the turn unaided on a first visit, and that is not a reflection on your driving.
